Sandbox vs live mode

Truvora keeps sandbox and live data completely separate. The environment switch in the portal header decides which one you're looking at, and every API key belongs to exactly one environment.

Sandbox

• Approvals and declines are simulated — no card is ever charged
• Use the test card 4111 1111 1111 1111, any future expiry, any CVV
• Safe for integration testing, demos, and training staff

Live

• Transactions route to your acquiring platform and move real money
• Requires platform approval — the toggle unlocks when review completes
• Live keys are separate from sandbox keys; never reuse one for the other

Going live checklist

• Finish testing every flow you plan to use in sandbox
• Rotate any API key that was ever shared or committed to code
• Switch the portal to live and run one small real transaction, then refund it
